While researching unusual vehicles of the 202 series, I came across two VINs that caught my attention. I havenˈt found any other information about these prototype vehicles, so I assume youˈre reading this for the first time.
In 1996, Mercedes built two prototypes – for testing the "W202 M112 E36 AMG".
Excerpt from the datacard (translated):
W 202 E28 PROTOTYPE FOR ENGINE INSTALLATION
M112 E36 AMG (W202 E36-783)
THE VEHICLE IS REQUIRED FOR THE TESTING AND TRIALS OF THE W202 M112 E36 AMG.
